- Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat.Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.Stir in the vanilla extract and salt.Remove from the heat and gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.If using reserved marshmallows, stir them in at the end.Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and gently press it into an even layer without packing it too tightly.Let cool for about 30 minutes before cutting into 16 squares.Serve and enjoy.
