Load the Blender
Pour the apple juice (or your preferred milk) into the blender pitcher first. Add the sliced banana, the frozen mixed berries, and the vanilla Greek yogurt. (Pro tip: Adding the liquid first helps the blender blades catch the frozen fruit much easier!)2. Blend
Place the lid securely on the blender. Blend on high speed for about 1 minute, or until the mixture is completely smooth, creamy, and vibrant in color.3. Adjust Consistency and Taste
Check the texture of your smoothie. If the smoothie seems too thick for your blender or your preference, add a little more liquid (about ¼ cup) and pulse to combine. Taste the smoothie, and blend in the 1 tablespoon of honey if you desire a sweeter drink.4. Garnish and Serve
Pour the smooth, frosty mixture evenly into two glasses. If desired, garnish the rims with fresh berries and a sprig of fresh mint for a beautiful presentation. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Liquid Substitutes: Apple juice provides a great natural sweetness, but unsweetened almond milk or oat milk are fantastic low-sugar alternatives that make the smoothie even creamier.
- Frozen Bananas: If you want an even thicker, frostier smoothie, use a banana that has been peeled, sliced, and frozen!
-
Storage: Best enjoyed immediately, but you can keep leftovers in a tightly sealed mason jar in the fridge for up to 24 hours (just shake it vigorously before drinking!).Always put your liquid into the blender pitcher before your frozen fruit—this saves your blender motor and guarantees a perfectly smooth, lump-free drink!
