Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups milk whole, oat, almond, or your choice
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 shots espresso or ½ cup strong brewed coffee
  • Whipped cream for topping (optional)
  • Extra pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a small saucepan, whisk together the milk, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla.
  2. Heat over medium heat until hot but not boiling, whisking frequently.
  3. Froth the milk mixture using a milk frother or whisk until lightly foamy.
  4. Divide the espresso or brewed coffee between two mugs.
  5. Pour the warm pumpkin milk mixture over the coffee.
  6. Top with whipped cream if desired.
  7. Sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon.
  8. Serve immediately.
